MLB Power Rankings: Week 3

No. 3 New York Yankees

Standings: 11-6 (2nd in AL East)

Last Week's Ranking: 2nd

Outlook: The Yankees eight-game winning streak finally came to an end against the White Sox. New York is still playing really good baseball. They started last week by finishing off a sweep of the Cardinals then took two of three against the White Sox. They'll travel to Boston for a rivalry series against the Red Sox then will come back home to host the Orioles. Third baseman Chase Headley has cooled off a little but is still hitting at a crazy pace with a .377 batting average. The Yankees are also getting some power from Aaron Judge who leads the team with five homers. (Getty)
