The North Carolina Tar Heels are NCAA Champions once again.
After losing a heartbreaker to Villanova last season, UNC returned to the title game and this time got it done down the stretch. The Tar Heels pulled off the victory against Gonzaga, 71-65.

North Carolina was led down the stretch by junior guard Joel Berry II’s game-high 22 points. He also had 6 assists and 3 rebounds in the win.
It’s head coach Roy Williams’ third time winning a national title, and he was understandably proud of his team after the final buzzer.
UNC also got 16 points out of junior Justin Jackson and 13 points, 9 rebounds from senior Isaiah Hicks.
With confetti streaming overhead, the Tar Heels jubilantly celebrated bringing the Division I championship trophy back to Chapel Hill.
