After taking care of business in Games 1 and 2 at home, the Golden State Warriors are looking to open a commanding 3-0 series lead over the San Antonio Spurs tonight in their best-of-seven Western Conference Finals series.

According to OddsShark, the Warriors are favored by eight points over the Spurs in Game 3. The over-under is set at 212.5 points.

The OddsShark computer likes the Warriors to win their 11th straight postseason game and take down the Kawhi Leonard-less Spurs in Game 2, projecting a 114.1-102.6 Golden State victory. The computer is picking the Warriors to cover the spread and is taking the over on the point total.

The Spurs only lost Game 1, 113-111, and that was after leading in the third quarter, 78-55. But at that point, Leonard was forced from the game with an ankle injury and did not return. He missed Game 2, in which his team lost by 36, and was declared out for Game 3 early on Saturday.

The Spurs won two out of three regular season matchups against the Warriors and is 4-2 overall against the spread in its last six games at home. The point total has gone OVER in five of their last six home games.

Meanwhile, the Warriors are 5-0 overall against the spread in their last five games on the road, and the point total has gone OVER in five of their last six road games.

Unfortunately for the Spurs, being without Leonard yet again is all but a death sentence. It’s hard to count a Gregg Popovich-coached team out, especially at home, but this Warriors squad is just… too… good. Heavy likes the Warriors even with the Spurs getting eight points, and we also like the trend of Golden State road games going OVER the point total, so let’s go with that.

Heavy’s Pick: Warriors 113 -08, Spurs 101. Over on the Point Total.
