McGregor vs. Mayweather Ticket On Sale Date Announced

The official on sale date for tickets to the much-anticipated boxing match between Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather has been announced. Showtime’s Brian Custer announced at the New York McGregor/Mayweather press conference that tickets would become available on July 24. The news was also confirmed on the UFC’s official Twitter page.

Ticket prices have not been announced on the T-Mobile Arena website, but tickets will be available there soon. It it recommend to purchase tickets though their website to avoid the many ticket scams that people have already been victimized by.

Even thought the T-Mobile Arena site doesn’t have the ticket prices up yet, CBSSports has reported that tickets are expected to range from $500 to $10,000. The $500 tickets will be limited, with the average ticket cost expected to be in the thousands of dollars. The T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas has a listed capacity of 20,000 for boxing. Of course, prices will be much higher on the resale market, possibly low-to-mid six-figures for the better seats. Tickets for the Mayweather-Pacquiao fight went for more than $300,000 a week ahead of the fight, according to CBS Sports.

Showtime will broadcast the pay-per-view at a price of $89.95 for standard definition and $99.95 for high definition.

McGregor and Mayweather went on a four-day, three-country press tour this week to promote the fight. The last remaining stop of the tour in Friday night at Wembley Arena in London.

McGregor and Mayweather are set to square off Aug. 26 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, NV. The bout will be a 12-round boxing match with 3-minute rounds. They will fight at 154 lbs. and wear 10 oz. gloves.

Mayweather will enter the fight as a heavy favorite. He is a five-division world champion and has a 49-0 record.

McGregor is the first UFC fighter to hold titles in two different divisions. He has a 21-3 record and will be making his professional boxing debut against Mayweather.
