NFL 2017: Training Camp Start Dates & Locations for All 32 Teams

Football has returned as NFL teams across the country are beginning training camp. The Cowboys, Bears, Saints, Ravens and Jaguars all have rookies beginning training camp on July 19.

The rest of the NFL’s start dates are staggered. While there are a few teams that have opted to have both rookies and veterans begin training camp at the same time, the majority of teams have rookies begin a few days before the rest of the team. Based on league rules, teams have the option of starting camp a few days earlier for rookie players.

SB Nation’s Blogging the Boys details the specifics of the rule.

“Clubs are permitted to open preseason training camp for rookies and first-year players beginning seven days prior to the club’s earliest permissible mandatory reporting date for veteran players,” Blogging the Boys notes.

The Seahawks and Chargers will be the final two teams to begin training camp. Both teams get started on July 29. Dallas and Arizona will kick off the preseason on August 3 with the Hall of Fame game.
