Roman Reigns vs. Braun Strowman (Ambulance Match)
Winner: Braun Strowman!
Highlights: Braun ran right at Reigns with reckless abandon as the soon as the match began. Reins struck him at several points near the start of their brawl, but Strowman overpowered him with a splash into the corner. On the outside, Strowman went on a rampage by throwing his rival all over the outside. Strowman picked up some nearby ring steps and used it future injure Reigns. Reigns dodged a third steel steps strike and forced Strowman to drop his steps. Back inside the ring, Reigns tried his hardest to take the big man off his feet. But Strowman shook off all of Reigns’ offense and responded with a Reverse Chokeslam and a Powerslam soon after. Strowman then chose to pick up Reigns and begin walking him to the ambulance. Reigns hopped off of Strowman and ran back into the the ring. This angered Strowman and caused him hurriedly run into the ring and right into a Samoan Slam. Strowman then slammed himself in the ring post after missing a corner shoulder strike to Reigns. Reigns left the ring to dropkick Strowman’s head into the ring post, then targeted his injured elbow with strikes and chair shots.
Reigns landed more chair shots to a standing Strowman, who took them all without even flinching. Strowman got ahold of Reigns once again and beat him all the way up the ramp. Strowman then sent Reigns flying into the entrance screen and then proceeded to clear off the nearby announce table. Strowman looked like he was about to slam Reigns into the table, but Reigns slipped out of his grasp. Reigns laid in several strikes to the monster, but Strowman shook off all the damage done to him and launched Reigns into the side of the ambulance. Reigns almost got put into the ambulance, but he fought off Strowman by slamming his head into the ambulance door and planting him with a Superman Punch. Strowman tried to keep Reigns away, but Reigns stayed in control after landing another Superman Punch. Reigns was on the verge of winning the match until Strowman pulled out a stretcher and used it to destroy him.
Reigns ended up back on the main stage after Strowman threw him easily on top of it. Strowman tried to follow that up with a Powerslam, but Reigns crawled out of his grasp again and speared him right through the entrance screen. Both men fought hard to get back on their feet while the crowd looked on in disbelief. When Reigns finally got his hands on Strowman, it looked like he just might be able to pull him to the ambulance. Strowman still managed to survive by shoving Reigns to the ground. Strowman tried to get another piece of Reigns, but Reigns laid him out with a shot from the stage light. Reigns then went for a big Spear, but he ran right into the ambulance after Strowman dodged him. Even after Reigns got the victory, Reigns hopped out of the ambulance to finally land his Spear on Strowman. Reigns then forced Strowman into the back of the ambulance, took the driver’s seat and then slammed the back of the vehicle into a truck. Kurt Angle and several personnel came out to save Strowman as Reigns walked off.
Curt Hawkins vs. Heath Slater
Winner: Heath Slater!
Highlights: As everyone in the back tried to save Strowman, Hawkins and Slater entered the arena for an impromptu match. Both men began competing against each other while a firetruck was called in to offer its assistance. While the camera stayed backstage, the bell rung and it was announced that Slater won the match. The firemen used all their tools to break open the ambulance and save Strowman. When they finally got it open, Strowman was almost brought out onto a gurney while Angle and James Gibson looked on. A bloodied Strowman ignored the help of medical personnel and tried to crawl away on his own. Strowman eventually got back to his feet and walked away from the harrowing scene.
Brock Lesnar (c) (with Paul Heyman) vs. Samoa Joe (WWE Universal Championship)
Winner: And still the WWE Universal Champion, Brock Lesnar!
Highlights: During the main event participant introductions concluded, Joe struck down
Lesnar. Joe forced the champ to the outside and even slammed him right into the announce table. While Joe paced around in the ring, Lesnar tried to clear his head and get back in the ring to officially start the match. When Lesnar finally got back to his feet, the bell rang. Joe collided with Lesnar in the corner and followed that up an Enzuguri. Joe and Lesnar then got into a striking/grappling war that Joe ended up winning. Joe tried to muscle Lesnar down, but Lesnar countered him with shoulder strikes in the corner. Joe shook the damage from strikes off and went right back to getting the better of the champ. Lesnar saved himself from Joe by slamming his head into the top ring post, which led right into “Suplex City.” Lesnar delivered numerous German Suplexes to Joe while the crowd roared on. Lesnar went for another one, but Joe low blowed him while the ref was distracted. Joe then locked in the Kokina Clutch on Lesnar while the ref kept a close eye on the champ. Heyman screamed for Lesnar to hold on while Joe gripped Lesnar even tighter in his submission hold. Lesnar escaped by using a Sidewalk Slam on Joe. Lesnar tried to ram Joe into the corner, but he slammed his shoulder right into the ring post. Lesnar recovered pretty quickly and went right back to suplexing the life out of Joe. Joe looked done and almost ate an F5, but Joe slipped off and locked in the Kokina Clutch again! Lesnar almost went to sleep, but then he finished Joe with an F5 out of nowhere!
