Patrick Mahomes II has been all over the map this offseason alongside Brittany Mahomes, his wife and the mother of his children.

So, what did the power couple decide to do on an important holiday like Mother’s Day? Well, they celebrated by supporting the NWSL’s KC Current — a women’s soccer franchise that Patrick and Brittany now co-own together alongside Angie and Chris Long.

“Mother’s Day with the Mahomes ❤️,” the KC Current’s Twitter account shared on May 14, including photos of Patrick, Brittany and Sterling Mahomes walking the sidelines in Current red. In just under six hours, the viral pictures already had over 1.1K likes.

Sterling Mahomes Steals the Show at Mother’s Day KC Current Game

Patrick and Brittany matched with white and red outfits from their shoes up to any headgear, but Sterling Skye Mahomes really stole the show with a cute teal bow in her hair.

Sterling also wore a No. 15 Mahomes KC Current jersey with a white skirt and shoe combo — matching both her parents in different ways. Patrick, an avid sports fan in his free time, donned one of the home team’s NWSL jerseys as well.

In one of the photos shared initially by the social media team, Brittany and Sterling appear to be having a cute mother-daughter moment as the former points out what’s happening on the soccer pitch. Nothing like a wholesome memory on a special holiday.

Brittany Mahomes & the Longs Welcome Patrick to the KC Current Ownership Circle in January

Patrick Mahomes joined on as a KC Current owner in January of 2023. Both Brittany and the Longs welcomed him with open arms.

“We are so thrilled to make this a family affair and have Patrick join as an owner,” Brittany Mahomes told fans during a press release at the time. “He has been a huge supporter behind-the-scenes. His passion for the Current is undeniable and I am glad that he will be with us as we continue on our journey to become the best in the NWSL.”

On a similar note, the Longs voiced the following during the same press release:

“Patrick is obviously a once-in-a-generation athlete and someone who has had an immeasurable impact on the Kansas City community. Working with Brittany has been a blessing. We are elated to now partner with Patrick too. The Mahomes are truly a remarkable family.”

Along with the KC Current, Patrick Mahomes is already a minority owner with Sporting KC, the Kansas City Royals and the Whataburger restaurant chain. Smart investing at its finest.

“I am thankful for the chance to join my wife as part of the Kansas City Current’s ownership team,” Mahomes commented after signing on with the NWSL franchise. “Brittany and the Longs have done an incredible job building a world-class organization. I am excited to join another championship-caliber club as it continues to make history.”

Brittany and the Long family also broke ground on the first ever purpose-built stadium for a women’s professional sports team last October.

“This stadium is for our world-class athletes,” Angie Long told reporters at the time. “This is an investment in every female athlete in the world.”

Patrick Mahomes also provided a statement on his wife’s accomplishment with the KC Current during a press conference on October 6. “As an organization, I think the Longs and Brittany have done a great job of really strengthening and embracing and going with those women [to put] them in the right position to go out and succeed,” he stated. “They believe in those women who go out there and play at a high level. They’ve [built a] state-of-the-art facility, they’re building the brand-new stadium now, letting them show that we believe in them, and they do it the right way as an organization — I think we can see that every time they play on the field.”
