A long-rumored contest can finally be confirmed: Kevin “Kimbo Slice” Ferguson and and Houston Alexander will meet at the Ultimate Fighter 10 Finale.
The bout, which will be contested at a catchweight of 215lbs, will mark Alexander’s first bout with the company since a September 2008 loss to Eric Schafer. He was recently allowed to fight on an Adrenaline card, where he defeated Sherman Pendargarst.
It will be the first official bout in the UFC for Slice, who is undoubtedly one of the most famous mixed martial artists on the planet. A participant on the tenth season of The Ultimate Fighter, Slice lost his first bout to veteran heavyweight Roy Nelson. It was revealed after the bout by sources in the UFC that Slice would receive a contract to fight after the show despite his losing effort, largely due to the massive ratings his bout drew for Spike.
The bout is tailor-made for both fighters, as neither man has been able to muster much of a ground game during their time in in the cage.
