WWE Elimination Chamber 2021: Matches & Predictions

Update: check out our review for WWE Elimination Chamber 2021 right here.

The Road to WrestleMania 37’s PPV schedule is heading towards its second destination – Elimination Chamber.

Edge and Bianca Belair have already been penciled in for their top spots on the ‘Mania card due to their respective Royal Rumble wins. But before their major matches take place, WWE will bring back its signature six-man chamber war for a brutal and chaotic pit stop. This year’s installment of the Elimination Chamber event will handle things a bit differently by putting up the WWE Championship as a much sought-after prize. And as expected, the rest of this PPV’s match card will feature title bouts that may change the landscape for this year’s WrestleMania 37 match lineup.

Before February 21 quickly arrives out of nowhere (RKO style!), let’s make our match predictions for the 2021 Elimination Chamber event.

Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler (c) vs. Sasha Banks and Bianca Belair (WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship)

WWE

Predictions & Winners: You had to know this whole setup was coming sooner or later. The table is obviously being set for an eventual WrestleMania showdown between the 2021 Women’s Royal Rumble winner and the SmackDown Women’s Championship. While the big show is two months away, it’s about time for WWE to start setting up this much-anticipated bout. What better way to do that than by placing two eventual opponents alongside each other before they face off. Sasha Banks and Bianca Belair will be teaming up in a bid to claim the Women’s Tag Team titles from Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler.

The story of unlikely partners turned heated foes is a wrestling tale as old as time. And it’s going to be told here. SmackDown’s top two women will put up quite the fight against Raw’s strongest duo. But everything will fall apart once a crucial moment of miscommunication between Banks and Belair leads to their eventual downfall. I get the feeling that Banks will mistakenly harm Belair and push her right into harm’s way, which will lead to Jax and Baszler retaining. Belair will take issue with this act, but it will be Banks who strikes first and goes back to being the best heel version of herself. Banks’ “mistake” will come out to be a pre-planned attack that will play a huge part in setting up her ‘Mania 37 showdown with “The EST.”

Bobby Lashley (c) (with MVP) vs. Keith Lee vs. Riddle (Triple Threat Match for the WWE United States Championship)

WWE

Predictions & Winner: LET’S GO! If this match gets 15+ minutes to unfold, then we have a very high chance of getting an early MOTY candidate here. Keith Lee and Riddle have already shown their amazing in-ring chemistry on a recent episode of Raw. And if you’ve followed their past wars in EVOLVE, then that should come as no surprise. Now that the element of a rebuilt and far more formidable Bobby Lashley is getting added to this violent concoction, I’m expecting nothing but greatness.

Lashley has been running roughshod over his foes since claiming the title last August. But something tells me he’s going to drop the title here without even getting pinned, which will give him an excuse to ask for a rematch. This result will do its job of freshening up the United States title scene as we get closer to ‘Mania 37. I’m placing my bets on a shocking Keith Lee win here that will see Riddle get pinned and segue into a singles feud with the former champion in the coming months.

Drew McIntyre (c) vs. AJ Styles (with Omos) vs. Jeff Hardy vs. Randy Orton vs. Sheamus (Enters Last) vs. Kofi Kingston (with Xavier Woods) (Elimination Chamber Match for the WWE Championship)

WWE

Predictions & Winner: Shane McMahon’s out here announcing PPV main events and no longer wasting everyone’s time with Raw Underground? I can get with that! So Drew McIntyre is going to hell and back in the Elimination Chamber itself as he’s going to defend his title against five top contenders. My gut’s telling me The Miz’s last-minute exit from this affair will ultimately play into the match’s finish and even set up a future PPV title match. As for who’s going to start this bout off, I think Jeff Hardy and Randy Orton are the most likely candidates. AJ Styles will come out next to clash with them both, then Kofi Kingston will enter the ring afterward to team up with Hardy for an assault on the heel contingent.

The WWE Champion will exit his pod next to add even more chaos to the multi-man madness. And finally, Sheamus will be the final man to emerge from his pod and join the fray. Hardy, Styles, and Kingston will get eliminated in a normal fashion, but Orton will meet his end due to supernatural shenanigans from a returning Bray Wyatt. That will leave McIntyre and Sheamus as the match’s final two participants, which makes perfect sense considering their recently broken friendship. During a moment where both men are down, The Miz will run out to cash in his MITB briefcase. However, he’ll fail at his latest attempt thanks to a devastating Brogue Kick. But once Sheamus reverts his attention back to McIntyre, he’ll get dropped with a Claymore Kick. McIntyre will retain the title, but Sheamus will blame The Miz’s cash-in distraction for his loss. And that will most likely lead to the angry Irishman getting a shot at the champ at March’s Fastlane event.

Kevin Owens vs. Jey Uso vs. King Corbin vs. Sami Zayn vs. Cesaro vs. Daniel Bryan (Elimination Chamber Match, Winner Receives a WWE Universal Championship Match Later That Night)

WWE

Predictions & Winner: Man, that boy Roman Reigns is a genius! He found a way to finesse his next title challenger into facing him the very same night that they manage to emerge victorious from this match. Whoever makes it out of this hellish situation as the last man standing has the tall task of recovering in time to overcome a fresh “Tribal Chief.” As far as this match’s participants go, the field is pretty stacked. Kevin Owens has been feuding with Reigns for months now, so it makes sense for him to be part of this whole ordeal. Jey Uso is in here as some sort of insurance policy to make sure Reigns has an even easier time afterward when it comes time to defend his title. King Corbin and Sami Zayn are in here to trip up the rest of the pack through nefarious means, of course.

As for Cesaro and Daniel Bryan, they stand the highest chance of walking out of this bout as the winner. Here’s how I see this multi-man war unfolding – Owens will kick things off with Jey. Afterward, King Corbin will join in to pull off a dual assault on Owens. Soon after, Cesaro will run in and pull off his usual array of exciting offenses to gain the upper hand. After him will come Bryan, who’ll get his licks in as expected. Once Zayn enters last, he’ll succumb to a quick finish. I’m quite sure that out of nowhere loss will play right into his conspiracy theories. Corbin will fall next, followed by Jey. Then we’ll get an amazing three-way war between Owens, Cesaro, and Bryan. Owens will eventually take an L, which will leave Cesaro and Bryan to tear into each other. Based on what I’ve been seeing of Cesaro lately, I think he’s in line for a major push. And if you ask me, that push will kick into overdrive with a major win here.
