Apple has confirmed it will host an iPad event on October 22nd. The showcase will be invitation-only but the company will produce its other gadgets including OS X Mavericks and a new Mac Pro according to AllThingsD. Similar to their strategy with the iPhone, Tim Cook and his crew could unveil and iPad 5 and iPad Mini 2 which will essentially look the same.
The new tablets could include the TouchID feature but most of the other aspects of device are still unknown. This event will take place during a busy week. October 18th is when the Microsoft Surface 2 is set to be released while Nokia will unveil six new devices at its own fall launch.
