Buying a Nexus 6 or a Nexus 9? Read this first. Here’s everything you need to know about how much these Android L devices cost, and when you can buy them.
1. Nexus 6 Price Info
In the “Winnebago” spot above from Google, you can see a bunch of different Android users rocking out in a Winnebago. This spot was designed to tease the new line of Android L devices.
Re/code notes that the Nexus 6 will be quite expensive, though carrier subsidized costs might soften the blow a bit:
“Unlike many past Nexus phones, the Nexus 6 will be available not just from Google, but also directly from carriers, using either two-year contracts or device financing. On the downside, the device is pricier than any prior Nexus phone, starting at $649 without a contract.”
A leak earlier this week suggested that AT&T’s on-contract price for the Nexus 6 could be $49.99 with a new two-year contract.
2. Nexus 6 Preorder and Release Date
Android L is almost here. Check out the video above, which reveals some of the best features in Android Lollipop. These features include the new lock screen, notifications, settings, and material design.
Google’s official Nexus 6 page states the Nexus 6 is “available for pre-order starting in late October.” You will be able to buy this device from carriers like AT&T, Sprint, Verizon, and T-Mobile. The device will also be available from Best Buy, Google Play, or US Cellular. Re/code says this phone will be in consumer’s hands by mid-November.
3. Nexus 9 Price Info
The Nexus 9 starts at $399. The price will increase if you want extra storage or connectivity options. The base model is a 16GB model, and is Wi-Fi only. You can upgrade to 32GB of storage, with the option to get the 32GB variant with either Wi-Fi only or LTE and Wi-Fi capabilities.
4. Nexus 9 Preorder and Release Date
Google’s official Nexus 9 product page states that the preorders for the Nexus 9 will open up on October 17th. According to 9to5Google, this tablets will ship November 3. You can order one of these tablets from Amazon right now.
