There have been rumors about a new, plus-sized iPad for months now. It would be called the iPad Pro, or possibly the iPad Air Plus. This rumored iPad would be somewhere in the 12-inch range, and Apple would likely market the plus-sized iPad towards business clients. Check out the video above to see a mockup of what this big iPad might look like.
According to Mac Rumors, the video above based their depiction of the iPad Pro on rumored specs from a Japanese source. Those specs suggest the big iPad’s dimensions would be the neighborhood of 12 inches x 8.7 inches x 0.28 inches.
In a previous post about Apple’s plans for a bigger iPad, we noted that Samsung is likely providing Apple with display panels for the iPad Pro. The iPad Pro will likely run on an enhanced version of the A8 chip that powers the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. This so-called “A8X” chip is said to be more powerful, though exact specifications have yet to be leaked.
If the rumors pan out, a big iPad could debut in April or June of next year. Would you buy a super-sized iPad?
