Dancing With The Stars pros Derek Hough and Mark Ballas have a new show called Mark & Derek’s Excellent Flip and it airs tonight on HGTV. According to the NY Daily News, this is the plot:
As hands-on house flippers, they wear baseball caps, old pants and T-shirts. And occasionally safety glasses. Their plan, they explain, was to take some of the money they saved from the show (DWTS) to buy and sell a house in L.A. Specifically, buy for $1.275 million, put $250,000 into it, sell it a month later for $1.8 million. As all HGTV watchers know, the chances of all that falling into place like a snappy tango are zero. The good part is what goes wrong.
What Hough had to say about flipping a house was that:
It’s different from dancing, but equally satisfying.
The house the two stars purchased for their flip is in Studio City, California and was put back on the market for $1.895 million just 10 months after they purchased it.
