Arlen Specter, the sometimes controversial, and seemingly always embattled, former Senator from Pennsylvania, has died this morning in his P.A. home following his battle with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma.
While not his first battle with the disease, he had both beaten it before as well as recovering from a heart bypass surgery, but at 82 years of age, he just couldn’t hold on any longer. More details as they emerge.
