Friday the 13th: The Game Adding New Maps and Emotes

Friday the 13th: The Game

An upcoming patch for Friday the 13th: The Game is designed to add some new content to the game. While the patch is planning on adding new maps, the maps are actually variants of the already existing maps in the game.

The maps are said to be 40 percent smaller than the large counterparts which means action will occur much quicker. This can actually be a good thing since many times we have found ourselves finishing out the full 20 minute timer in a match. The smaller maps means things should move quicker in a perfect world.

Also coming with the patch are new emotes. The team shows off a preview of these new emotes in a quick Twitter post but they do confirm that eight new emotes are on the way. Players will be able to use these emotes as a form of communication if they don’t use a mic. All of the DLC included with this patch will be available free of charge. There isn’t a timetable given on when this content will be arriving but it’s likely to be in the near future.

In other Friday the 13th: The Game news, a physical version of the title has been announced. In what should have been an unsurprising move, the game will be available physically on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on October 13.

The Xbox One version of the game has also been fixed in a recent patch. The Xbox One version has been plagued with issues since launch and it looks like the team has finally ironed out those issues to make this version on par with the other ones.

The game is also supposed to be adding a single-player mode eventually. We have very little information to share about the mode itself but we do know it is coming. The team made a brief reference to it back in June but we haven’t heard much about the mode since then.
