- Warning: Destiny 2 spoilers may follow.
Destiny 2 is receiving its first expansion pack in December titled Curse of Osiris. This expansion pack, coming out just three months after the game’s initial release, will introduce a brand new world for players to explore as well as an additional social space.
While it’s still sad to see we’re still not getting any new uses out of the Farm, it is still cool that we’ll be going somewhere other than the Tower so soon into the game’s lifespan. The new social space is called the Lighthouse and outside of the name, we don’t have much to share on that. It will probably operate the same was as the Tower but will just receive a visual overhaul. It’ll also likely become the new hotspot to hang out at.
Mercury will give players a new area to explore that isn’t the Lighthouse as well. Players will have new missions, new strikes, new raid content, a world quest, new free roam activities and much more. For players complaining about the lack of content, this should be able to hold you over for a little while.
The expansion takes place after the conclusion of the Destiny 2 campaign and tasks you with the quest to find Osiris, the most powerful Warlock to ever live, also Ikora Rey’s mentor, and to discover the answers needed to fight back against the Vex. There will be both returning characters and a selection of new characters

The expansion will debut at the same time across PC, Xbox One and PS4. For those who just started playing on PC, you have about a month to catch up so get to grinding.
