Denny’s is one of the major chain restaurants that is open all year round and it is generally open 24 hours a day. This means they will be open on Labor Day. However, this is at participating locations, many of which may be incorporating a holiday schedule. But, if you do not want to contact the restaurant directly, you should be safe going until early afternoon at least. The same goes for IHOP stores.
Some of the “Limited Time Offers” currently available at IHOP include the International Pancake Combo, the Belgian Dark Chocolate Mousse Pancakes A La Carte, Mexican Tres Leches Pancakes A La Carte, and the Vanilla Spice Pancakes A La Carte. All except the combo platter are $4.99 and are also available as side orders for $3.99.
In addition to the Vanilla Spice, some of the other flavors of pancakes, currently available at IHOP, include the Cupcake Pancakes, Strawberry Banana Pancakes, New York Cheesecake Pancakes, Double Blueberry Pancakes, Harvest Grain ‘N Nut Pancakes, and Rooty Tooty Fresh ‘N Fruity Pancakes.
A few fun additions to the IHOP menu are the Ultimate Waffle Stack and the IHOP Signature Pancake Sliders. The official IHOP description of the Waffle Stack reads, “A show-stopper breakfast sandwich with 2 eggs, 6 slices of hickory-smoked bacon, White Cheddar & sweet maple glaze, sandwiched between signature Belgian waffle triangles infused with savory Cheddar.” And, the description of the sliders describes the dish as, “Two silver dollar sliders made with original buttermilk pancakes and filled with a scrambled egg omelette (made with a splash of buttermilk & wheat pancake batter), turkey sausage, hickory-smoked bacon & American, all topped with sweet maple glaze.”
The omelette selection at IHOP continues to grow as well. Choices in this category include the Spicy Poblano Omelette, Chicken Fajita Omelette, Cheeseburger Omelette, the Bacon Temptation Omelette and many others.
When it comes to Denny’s, some of the featured items on the menu right now include the Strawberry Citrus Pancake Breakfast, Tres Leches Pancake Breakfast, Dulce de Leche Crunch Pancake Breakfast, the America’s Diner Cheeseburger, the Horchata Mile Shake, and a selection of limeade beverages. The official description of the Denny’s Strawberry Citrus Pancake Breakfast reads, “Two buttermilk pancakes topped with fresh strawberries, strawberry sauce and whipped cream. Served with two sunny-side up eggs and hash browns, plus your choice of two bacon strips or two sausage links and a side of warm citrus sauce for drizzling.” Each of the complete pancake breakfast items comes with eggs and sides.
For example, the Tres Leches Pancake Breakfast has a similar description when it comes to what is included in the meal. Its description reads, “Two buttermilk pancakes cooked with cinnamon sugar and topped with a scoop of horchata ice cream, whipped cream and sprinkled with cinnamon sugar. Served with two sunny-side up eggs and hash browns, plus your choice of two bacon strips or two sausage links and a side of warm cream sauce for an authentic Tres Leches experience.”
Next year, in 2019, Labor Day Monday will fall on September 2nd. The holiday always falls on the first Monday in September.
