At this point in time, it seems like Conor McGregor is serious about not fighting Dustin Poirier on July 10 at UFC 264.

The two were set to fight in a trilogy match this summer, however after a back-and-forth squabble on Twitter this week about McGregor’s charity donation promise, “Notorious” has said he is moving on from the fight. According to the Irishman, he still wants to fight against someone else on July 10 and now he’s turning to fans.

Using a play-on-word for Poirier’s Good Fight Foundation charity, McGregor asked fans who they’d like to see him fight instead of “The Diamond.”

McGregor, tweeted, “Looking to start the foundations of a good fight you guys, who’s in? McGregor Vs … ?”

After Poirier revealed that McGregor has yet to donate $500,000 to the Good Fight Foundation and Notorious’ subsequent defense, several UFC stars challenged the Irishman. The list includes former UFC lightweight champ Rafael dos Anjos, No. 4-ranked lightweight Michael Chandler and No. 13-ranked lightweight Kevin Lee.

McGregor & Poirier Slammed Each Other on Twitter Before McGregor Canceled the Fight

The fight cancellation controversy started after Poirier exposed McGregor on Twitter. Responding to McGregor’s tweet about finishing Poirier in the trilogy, The Diamond wrote, “That’s a fun prediction! @TheNotoriousMMA you also predicted a donation to my foundation and you and your team stopped responding after the fight in January. See you soon. July 10th Paid In Full!”

“A donation, not a debt,” Notorious responded. “We’ve been awaiting the plans for the money that never came. I do with all my donations. Know where it’s going dot for dot. Otherwise it goes walking. As is the case with a lot of these foundations, sadly. You took the McG over the belt shows I was right.”

“100% never a debt,” Poirier responded. “You offered, we accepted, and like I said your Team never responded to our emails regarding the process of where funds would be put to work! July 10th you will taste defeat yet Again.”

Then, things escalated.

“My team does their due diligence to make sure every donation meets the mark,” McGregor wrote. “My generosity is known. You will pay with your brain for this attempt at smearing my name. Shooting a** shelling a** b****. Little b**** kicks from a shell. Good luck when you’re caught. You’re f*****.”

McGregor’s Manager Got Involved in the Argument, Poirier Responded

Notorious’ manager, Audie Attar, backed his client, tweeting to Poirier, “Dustin! Why you frontin? Did you forget the face to face meeting we just had in Utah with our families? Where we stood by you as you tried to get more $ from the UFC? Conor is as generous as it gets. Don’t dismiss his business savvy. He always gets it done. This is a low move man.”

“His team hasn’t responded to our emails about anything involving my foundation after they reached out to us originally,” Poirier responded. “All good, Dinner and talk was great but don’t get on Twitter and be a tough guy lol.”
