Police have said that the woman was carrying a laundry bag when she was shot, cops added that they don’t believe this to be a random attack. A neighbor told reporters:
She recognized me and said please help me, and I’m holding her hand, and she told me she got shot…
The building’s surveillance cameras picked up most of the altercation between the woman and the man which ended in the gunman firing one shot. Security footage, which has been seen by some residents, say the man can be seen walking away calmly as the woman lies in pain.
