A car has plowed into a Trader Joe’s in Oceanside, Long Island, injuring at least 15 people, reports ABC New York.
Here’s what you need to know:
1. The Driver Backed Into the Store

The driver is reported to have lost control of her car at around 1:15 p.m. and crashed through the front of the store.
2. There are 15 Injuries
Reports indicate 15 people, including staff, customers and the driver were injured. There are varying degrees of injuries with some people being treated at the scene and others being transported to hospital. NBC New York reports that two people were seriously injured.
3. One Person Was Pinned Under the Car
At least one person was directly hit by the car. That person had to be removed from under the car.

There is massive damage to the front of the store.
5. The Car Ground to a Halt Under a Sign That Said ‘Fearless Flyer’
The New York Post reports the driver is an “older woman.” The car made it deep into the store.
