James Gorton Jr. has been fired from his job at Warner Bros. after Pretty Little Liars star Ashley Benson was granted a restraining order against him on Wednesday.
The 49-year-old Gorton told friends and coworkers that he believed God intended for him and the 24-year-old starlet to have a sexual relationship and get married.

According to TMZ, Gorton thought God wanted him to “romantically pursue” Benson. He told his friends and coworkers that he thought Benson and her friends were sending secret messages to him on set. E! reports Benson saying,
I am also told that Mr. Gorton believes that God has spoken to him through my character on Pretty Little Liars.
2. He Was Recently Fired From His Job As Security Guard On the PLL Lot At Warner Bros.

James Gorton was recently fired from his job at Warner Bros, where he was (ironically) the security guard at the PLL set. TMZ reports that the 49-year-old thought he and Ashley had a strong connection after she glanced at him one day on set.

Although he’s required to stay 100 yards away from Benson at all times, the 24-year-old actress fears Gorton’s going to find other ways of reaching her.
Benson was informed of Gorton’s feelings for her on June 11, when her manager, Thor Bradwell, showed her a picture of the guy and she recognized him as a security guard at Warner Bros. E! reports that Gorton fell in love with her over a year ago after he saw Benson at a coffee shop.

Rich Warmack, VP of studio protection at Warner Bros., recently found out that Gorton told members of his church about his plans to make Benson his wife. Gorton personally told Warmack that Benson and he were “meant to spread the Gospel together”.
