Thanks to the Vice Presidential debate tonight at Longwood University in Virginia, Bull will not be airing on CBS tonight. The new hit show that stars Michael Weatherly in the title role will not be back until October 11 at 9 p.m. ET, following NCIS.
Bull got off to a fantastic start in the ratings, with 15.57 million viewers and a 2.2 rating in the 18-49 demographic for its premiere, CBS said on September 29. The pilot’s numbers grew to 20.50 million viewers with viewers over the following seven days included. The Big Bang Theory and NCIS were the only other two shows to earn 20 million or more viewers in their first week this season.
The series stars former NCIS actor Weatherly as Dr. Jason Bull, who runs the Trial Analysis Corporation. His team helps clients find the right jurors for their cases. It is based on Dr. Phil McGraw’s early career and was created by McGraw and House‘s Paul Attanasio.
The rest of the cast includes Freddy Rodriguez, Geneva Carr, Chris Jackson, Jamie Lee Kirchner and Annabelle Attanasio.
