Paris Hilton shared a rare photo of her baby boy that caused many fans to express concerns. Dozens of fans noticed that baby Phoenix has a large head. While some people genuinely questioned if the baby was okay, others decided to make jokes and post critical comments about the newborn.
“My precious angel baby Phoenix’s first time in NYC,” Hilton captioned an Instagram post on October 19, 2023.
Now, the daughter of former “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star Kathy Hilton has spoken out and assured the public that her baby is healthy.

Paris Hilton Says Her Baby Has a ‘Large Brain’
Hilton welcomed her first son with husband Carter Reum privately and quietly through a surrogate. The pair didn’t even tell their immediate family that they were expecting a baby together.
“My entire life has been so public. I’ve never had anything for myself. We decided that we wanted to have this whole experience to ourselves,” the reality television star told Harper’s Bazaar in February 2023.
Hilton has only shared a few pictures of her son in the time since. And the most recent photos of her son didn’t get the best reception from fans on social media.
“Does he have encephalitis? Like what is actually going on I’m not trying to be rude that doesn’t seem normal,” one person wondered.
“What’s he thinking about?” someone else asked, poking fun at the baby’s large head.
“Y’all he’s just got a lot on his mind leave the kid alone,” a third comment read.
“Beautiful baby has brain inflammation. This can be an autoimmune reaction. Please take your baby to an integrative functional paediatrician,” a fourth Instagram user suggested.
Meanwhile, Hilton has a perfectly good explanation for why her baby’s head appears larger than it should.
“There are some sick people in this world. My angel is perfectly healthy. And yes, of course he has been to a doctor, he just has a large brain,” she wrote (via People magazine).
Paris Hilton Posted a Longer Response on Her Instagram Stories
In an effort to promote positivity and speak out further about the negativity surrounding her baby’s photos, Hilton posted a lengthy statement to her Instagram Stories.
“Living life in the spotlight, comments are inevitable, but targeting my child or anyone else’s for that matter, is unacceptable. This hurts my heart more deeply than words can describe. I’ve worked hard to cultivate an environment that is all about love, respect, and acceptance, and I expect the same in return,” she wrote.
“If I don’t post my baby, people assume I’m not a great mother and if I do post him, there are some people who are cruel and hateful. I’m a proud working mom and my baby is perfectly healthy, adorable and angelic. I’ve dreamt of being a mom for as long as I can remember. Phoenix is my world and has been the biggest blessing of my life. Every day with him is a reminder of what truly matters. It’s hard to fathom that there are people in the world who would target such innocence. I hope that people can treat one another with more kindness and empathy,” she added.
