VIDEO: Real Housewives of Potomac Season 6 Trailer

Bravo/NBCUMV The Real Housewives of Potomac Season 5 Cast

The wait is finally over! “The Real Housewives of Potomac” season 6 trailer is officially out, as released by People on Monday, May 24. The trailer, as seen below, promises no shortage of drama. This season’s cast includes Karen Huger, Gizelle Bryant, Candiace Dillard, Robyn Dixon, Ashley Darby, Wendy Osefo, and newcomers Mia Thornton and Askale Davis (as a ‘friend of’). Viewers won’t see Monique Samuels on their screens, as she announced her departure from the series last December.

Per usual, the Potomac ladies aren’t afraid to show every up and down when it comes to their crazy lives. The trailer shows original cast member Ashley Darby immediately facing some difficulties. Darby welcomed her second child with her husband Michael Darby earlier this year in March.

But it may be taking a toll on her mental wellness, and she admits she has fears of “postpartum depression and relationship issues.” The mom cries in the trailer and says, “It’s harder than I thought.”

As for Candiace Dillard Bassett, it looks like she has never been busier. The trailer shows Dillard attempting to balance earning her master’s degree, acting, and working on her new album. As if there wasn’t enough drama already, her husband, Chris Bassett decides to work as her manager. “I take care of all your s*** all day long,” to which Dillard tells him to, “shut up,” and Bassett walks off saying, “f*** that s***.”

Cheating Rumors Escalate the RHOP Tension

In true RHOP fashion, the husbands will also play a role in the season’s drama. Dr. Wendy Osefo claims that she hoped to begin the new season with a, “new attitude,” but rumors and tension may have changed that.

Her husband, Edward Osefo, confesses that he feels like his wife isn’t giving him, “100 percent” when it comes to their marriage. She then asks him if he’s “happy” and “fulfilled” with their love life, but he straight up tells her, “No.”

The trailer then flashes to the RHOP ladies talking about the cheating rumors that have circulated around her hubby. “So when are we going to talk about the Eddie rumors?” Bryant asks. The rumors resurface at a group event and Osefo defends her husband crying, “What you’re not going to do is you’re not going to play with my husband’s name.”

He’s not the only husband in the hot seat. The Hugers also plan to celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary. The trailer teases a possible rift in their marriage when Ray Huger gets a text from someone calling him, “handsome.” Karen Huger sees the text and asks him, “Who is that? Good morning handsome? Let me see. I’ll find her a**.”

RHOP Welcomes a New Cast Member

When one cast member leaves, a new one emerges! Mia Thornton will join the RHOP cast for season 6. Thornton is a super successful entrepreneur, franchise owner, and regional developer, according to her Bravo bio. She graduated Southeastern Institute with a degree in Neuromuscular Massage Therapy and used that knowledge to create a partnership with a Fortune 500 company and ownership of Massage Envy Spas.

She has since settled in Potomac with her husband – who is 32-years older than her – Gordon Thornton, per her Bravo bio. The two have been married for nine years and have three children together: Joshua, Jeremiah, and Juliana. The trailer shows Thornton being honest about her life, as she talks about growing up in foster care.

Last but not least, RHOP will introduce Askale Davis as Dixon’s friend. Davis refers to herself as “Ethi-Oprah,” in the sense that she, “likes to stir the pot,” per Bravo’s season description.
