Fortnite: Battle Royale: 50v50 Mode Tips & Tricks

Fortnite Battle Royale tips

Epic Games

A new limited time mode splits up the 100-person matches into two teams of 50 that go at each other until one of the sides are wiped out.

This mode is available from now until December 17 so players will have plenty of time to jump into the carnage. The mode is available for those who queue up solo, duo or with a squad. Team killing is turned off in this mode so you won’t have to worry about being slaughtered by a friendly if you grab all the contents of a chest without sharing.

Although the game is still the same, this mode does give us a few changes so we thought it’d be a little helpful to give you some tips. Here are some helpful tips to help you get the edge in Fortnite: Battle Royale’s 50v50 mode.

Fortnite: Battle Royale is out now on Xbox One, PS4 and PC via the Epic Games Launcher.

Don’t Rush to the Ground

One of things that is interesting about this mode is you don’t know who your team and enemies are until they hit the ground. If a friendly hits the ground a green arrow will appear over their head while enemies will look as they always do.

If you know you’re not going to hit the ground first, try to hang back for a bit and see if you’re landing by any friendly faces. If you’re landing in a pack of enemies you might want to change course and land somewhere a little bit safer. Of course you can always try to land with the enemies and hope for the best.

Hang With Teammates

This should go without saying but we’re saying it anyways. It’s important to stick around with teammates because you’ll have a much higher success rate if you do.

Look for green arrows around you and on your map as often as possible and make sure you hang with them. If you are downed it is a lot easier to get back up if teammates are around you so you should stay with a group as much as you can.

Can you imagine how terrifying it is for a solo person to see a squad of 20 rolling their way?

Share The Loot

It’s not fun for you and it’s not fun for anyone else if one person is picking up all the power weapons. If you come across a weapon you don’t like or don’t use, let a teammate have it. There’s no voice chat with anyone around you except for those in your squad so there’s no way for them to tell you if they want a weapon or not.

Loot will be hard to come by especially if several players land in one spot on the map (see: Retail Row) so it’s important to share the wealth with everyone. There’s no point in having three of the same shotgun in your inventory so you should probably make sure your team is well equipped.
