If they’re at all crafty, get them this Cricut Explore Air 2 Starter Set. Sometimes when you’re queer, you simply can’t find the exact right pride shirt that proclaims your gender accurately and with this set, they can make their own and start printing their pronouns on nearly anything. It comes with everything they need to start creating their very own custom printed clothing and objects. The set includes the Explore Air 2 digital cutter, tool kit, cutting mat, transfer sheets, project pens, eight sheets of vinyl for decals, four sheets of glitter heat transfer vinyl for clothing, and a pen with a cardstock sample. You also get digital assets like an intro e-book, over 100 images, and 50 project ideas.
The Explore Air 2 can be used to make your own vinyl decals, heat-transfer and sublimation printed clothing, paper crafts, greeting cards, or use the included pen to write text. It uses Bluetooth to communicate with the free, and surprisingly user-friendly Cricut program to set up your projects.
I got to test out a media sample of the Cricut Explore Air 2 and I have a blast creating my own home printed clothing, coasters, and customizing my dog’s clothes.
I also can’t recommend a mug press enough. They allow you to print directly on coffee mugs and tumblers for creations that look professional and store-bought.
Cricut just came out with the Explore Air 3 Bundle which I haven’t tried but is designed to be even easier to use.
