Some 90 firefighters scrambled this morning to a report of a fire on the 88th floor of One World Trade center, the under-construction skyscraper that will replace the iconic Twin Towers destroyed on 9/11.
But the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey has told reporters the Ground Zero panic is a false alarm.
Apparently someone mistook welding sparks for a blaze and made a report.
The new tower, scheduled for completion in 2014, will eventually reach 104 towers and is already dominating the new New York skyline.
