Call him the cannibal cop.
NYPD officer Gilberto Valle of Queens allegedly plotted to kidnap 100 women and then cook and eat their body parts, according to federal authorities investigating the bizarre case.
The 28-year-old was busted this week, suspended from duty, and expected to appear in court today in Manhattan. He’s charged with attempted kidnapping (two counts).
In e-mails and instant messages, he allegedly discussed with co-conspirators his plans to “kidnap, rape, torture, kill, cook and eat body parts of a number of women.” According to documents, his online comments included the following:
“[My oven is] big enough to fit one of these girls if I folded their legs.”
“I was thinking of tying her body onto some kind of apparatus … cook her over a low heat, keep her alive as long as possible.”
“She does look tasty doesn’t she?”
The New York Times reports Valle “is not known to have engaged in any of the acts he discussed, one person said, speaking on condition of anonymity ….”
Valle, a six-year veteran assigned to the 26th Precinct in Upper Manhattan, allegedly had computer files on some 100 women, including photographs, addresses and physical descriptions. The FBI confirmed with 10 of the women that they indeed know Valle.
