Manchester United and England striker Wayne Rooney has declared his backing for the incumbent U.S. president. Whether this will swing the election for Obama is yet to be seen.
It’s not known how much interest Rooney has in U.S. politics. I wonder how his manager, Sir Alex Ferguson, will react to him staying up for the debates (okay, he could have recorded them, but I prefer the idea of him staying up late with a few cans of Stella for the political sparring).
