WATCH: Big Bird Plays the Victim Card in New Obama for America Ad

Mitt Romney may not be welcome on Sesame Street, but Obama’s got a friend in Big Bird. The yellow feathered mascot and Mr. Obama are so close that Obama’s recent campaign reflects how much of a friend he has in Big Bird. After last week’s debate, it’s fair to say that if Governor Romney’s in the House, Big Bird’s likely to be voted out.

The advertisement’s been called cheesy by critics and an embarrassment to democrats. According to Twitchy “there goes the nursery rhyme vote!”

The advertisement comments on the presidential debates between President Obama and Governor Mitt Romney and entails Romney talking about cutting government funding for PBS and Big Bird.

At least we all know that Obama’s Big Bird’s pal and it’s okay to invite Michelle to Sesame Street.

Romney’s swipe at Sesame Street is what got him into this huge debacle.

…sparked social media outrage, generating 135,332 tweets per minute in its immediate aftermath last week, according to Twitter. “I’m going to stop the subsidy to PBS,” Romney said Wednesday evening. “I like PBS. I love Big Bird,” he added. “But I’m not going to — I’m not going to keep on spending money on things to borrow money from China to pay for it.” – Huffington Post

Mitt Romney may be going down with the PBS supporters in this election but polls and critics say otherwise. No matter how silly, it’s not everyday that you see Big Bird endorsing the president.

Romney’s remarks also sparked incoming revenue for “Fire Big Bird” creators, Taylor Robinette and Andrew Bauer. The Romney dilemma resulted in the creators making $6,000.00 according to reports from The Street.
