Olympic soccer star Hope Solo today made her first public statements regarding the arrest of her husband, Jerramy Stevens, which came earlier this month on the day before their wedding. She told the AP they are happily married.

The Olympic Gold Winning Goalie has been adamant the media have gotten the story of her and Stevens’ relationship all wrong, she told local TV in Seattle today that:
It’s unfortunate what the media can do to judge before the facts are out there, I would never stand for domestic violence. I’ve never been hit in my life,”
Earlier in the year, Solo claimed that her Dancing With The Stars partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy slapped her during the pair’s rehearsals.
