You better watch what you say on Facebook because you can get arrested for it–especially if you are threatening to kill the President. That’s exactly what Christopher Castillo did and when the Secret Service showed up at his door to question him on the status, he did not back down from his threat.
On Nov. 1, Castillo posted this to his Facebook page:
“That’s the last straw, if he gets re-elected I’m going to hunt him down and kill him watch the life disappear from his eyes.”
When a friend commented on the status saying that threatening the President was a crime, he responded:
“I wouldn’t call it a threat but more of a promise, let them come after me… Be more than happy to take a few of them with me.”
The Secret Service then received a report from a concerned citizen of the internet threat to President Barack Obama and on Nov. 8 went to Castillo’s Melbourne, Florida residence to interview him on the matter. The man admitted to the threats and when one of the agents asked him “what he would do ‘if the President was standing here right now?’” he dug his hole even deeper by saying that he would “bitch slap him, and beat the shit out of him.”
Okay, this guy is a serious d-bag. When the SECRET SERVICE of the United States SHOWS UP AT YOUR DOOR for threatening to KILL THE PRESIDENT, you swallow your pride and deny it. Hell, blame it on the family dog if you have to, but don’t admit to it.
Needless to say, Castillo was arrested on Wednesday and will remain in custody until pre-trial services officials can fasten him with a GPS tracking device.
