NFL Player Claims Players are Using Viagra as Steroids

Brandon Marshall, wide receiver for the Chicago Bears, might have given a new meaning to the term “4th and long” amongst NFL players. (Hiyoooooo!)

During a recent interview with WCBS Chicago, Brandon was asked what he thought about Adderall being added to the list of suspendable performance enhancing drugs. Marshall responded the following:

“I don’t know too much about Adderall… it is such a competitive league, guys try anything just to get that edge. I’m fortunate enough to be blessed with size and some smarts to give me my edge. But some guys, they’ll do whatever they can to get an edge. I’ve heard of some crazy stories. I’ve heard (of) guys using like Viagra, seriously. Because the blood is supposedly thin, some crazy stuff.”

*does double take* WHAT?!?! Did Brandon Marshall just say that NFL players use Viagra to get a competitive edge in games? Someone get Mark Sanchez a bottle of boner builders! Stat!

Ok, so If what Brandon Marshall is claiming turns out to be true it explains two things:

1. This explains everything Brett Farve did during his years on the Jets.

2. Tebowing is clearly just Tim Tebow bending over to adjust his cup.

[poll id=”43″] At the end of the day, the real question he is whether or not taking Viagra really does help with gameplay? Its a grey area. Sildenafil, the active ingredient in Viagra, relaxes your blood vessels and does increase blood flow to fight erectile dysfunction. This kind of blood flow doesn’t really help athleticism but does increase blood flow to the lungs.

Should Viagra be added to the list of outlawed PEDs or should we let NFL pros’ rock stiffies remain super stiff on gamedays?
