Report: Rocket from Lebanon Launched at Israel

News is coming out of Israel that a rocket launched from Lebanon was targeted at the Israeli city of Metullah.

There are conflicting reports as to whether or rocket(s) landed in the Lebanese border region or whether those firing the weapon succeeded in reaching their goal of hitting Metullah.

The two countries have had a cease fire since 2006. On Monday Lebanese military units dismantled timer-equipped rockets that were aimed at Israeli land. Although not officially confirmed, it is believed that the rockets belong to Hezbollah. This is good news for Israel as it seems that the treaty between Lebanon and Israel is still intact.

The news comes on the heels of a recently signed cease fire between Israel and Hamas in the Gaza region of Israel. If the cease fire in Gaza falls through and more aggression is seen from Lebanon, Israel could be facing a war on two fronts.
