The Taliban’s digital-propaganda guy made a goof with a recent press release and publicly CC’d his entire mailing list, outing some 400 recipients including the rep of a warlord who masterminds attacks on U.S. troops.
Spokesperson Qari Yousuf Ahmedi failed to click “BCC” when he forwarded the email, reports ABC’s Muhammad Lila:
The list … consists mostly of journalists but also includes an address appearing to belong to a provincial governor, an Afghan legislator, several academics and activists, an l Afghan consultative committee, and a representative of Gulbuddein Hekmatar, an Afghan warlord whose outlawed group Hezb-i-Islami is believed to be behind several attacks against coalition troops.
