Three California women thought they were just having a nice meal out, but the fun ended when they got their receipt – complete with two little words that ruined their night.
“Fat Girls.”
Christine Duran, Christina Huerta and Isabel Robles were eating at the Cameo Club Casino restaurant in Stockton, Calif., but when they got their bill, they got their surprise.
“I got the bill, and I was like, why does the receipt say, “fat girls?”‘ Duran said. She said her friends thought she was joking at first.
The women asked their waiter about it, who said Jeff, the guy whose name was on the receipt must have typed it into the restaurant’s computer when he put in the order, but he’d left for the night.
The women demanded to see a manager, and were outraged when he smirked and offered to discount their bill by 25 percent, and then by 50 percent.
Huerta took a photo of the receipt so people would believe them.
I still can’t believe it. I still can’t get that out of my mind, what happened to us. I still can’t believe that somebody would put that on a receipt.
The casino’s bar manager Jimmy Seimers said he was disgusted at the joke, and suspended “Jeff” when he admitted to typing in the insult.
I just want to tell (the women) that we’re sincerely sorry for that, and that we’ll do everything in our power to make sure that this never happens to anyone ever again.
That’s nice buddy, but a few free dinners and some casino credits would probably be a nice touch too, you know.
