Prison Gang Leader Fathered 5 Kids with 4 Guards: Indictment

A notorious prison gang leader sired five children with four security guards while masterminding a smuggling operation that seduced his captors and made them minions.

This according to a federal indictment that implicates 25 inmates and guards at the Baltimore City Detention Center (above), reports the Baltimore Sun.

Tavon White, aka “Bulldog,” is the leader of the Black Guerilla Family gang. While serving time on an attempted-murder charge, he targeted female guards who had low self-esteem, then used sex to convert them into the criminals. The guards also enjoyed the beneifts of the criminal lifestyle afforded to them by White, driving around in expensive cars and wearing diamond jewelry in their downtime away from the daily grind.

Two of the impregnated guards even got “Tavon” tattoos — one on her neck and the other on her wrist.

White ruled the prison like a ruthless king, and this intercepted phone call (via the indictment, which can be read below) sums up his air of omnipotence:

This is my jail. You understand? I’m dead serious, I make every damn final call in this jail. Nothing go past me, everything come to me. Any of my brothers that deal with anybody, it’s gonna come to me. You see what I’m saying? Everything come to me.

Before a motherf*cker hit a nigga in the mouth, guess what they do? They gotta run it through me. I tell them whether it’s a go ahead or whether they gotta hold back.

Before a motherf*cker stab somebody they gotta run it through me. Anything that get done must go through me.

The FBI Special Agent in charge of the investigation, Stephen E. Vogt, said in an official FBI statement:

Such corruption causes the FBI to divert crucial investigative resources away from addressing violence on the streets of Baltimore. In this case, the inmates literally took over ‘the asylum,’ and the detention centers became safe havens for the BGF. Such a situation cannot be tolerated. Law enforcement should not have to concern itself with criminal subjects who have already been arrested and relegated to detention centers.

The full list of this involved in the indictment reads as:

The FBI statement goes on to say:

The defendants face a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison on the racketeering and drug conspiracies, as well as for conspiracy to commit money laundering. Stevenson, Yarborough, and Pinder each also face five years in prison for possession with intent to distribute marijuana.

The guards also used their knowledge to tip-off the prisoners about upcoming cell-searches, encouraging them to dispose of contraband, one intercepted message from White read:

I just got a message (from Officer Tiffany Linder) saying that they was going to pull a shake down (prison search) tonight. Let me call all these dudes in my phone and let them know.

Streetganglife.com says of the Black Guerilla Family:

The Black Guerrilla Family was founded in 1966 by George Jackson. Originally, The Black Guerrilla Family was called the Black Family or the Black Vanguard and were associated with the “Black Mafia.” Some BGF members were formerly associated with the Black Liberation Army, Symbionese Liberation Army, and the Weatherman Underground organization.

The Black Guerrilla Family is the most “politically” oriented of the major prison gangs. It was formed as a Marxist/Maoist/Leninist revolutionary organization with specific goals to eradicate racism, struggle to maintain dignity in prison, and overthrow the U.S. Government.

All members must be Black. The The Black Guerrilla Family has a very strict death oath which requires a life pledge of loyalty to the gang. Prospective members must be nominated by an existing member. The Black Guerrilla Family commonly use different versions of a dragon surrounding a prison tower and holding a correctional officer in its clutches. They will also use a crossed rifle and machete or the letters “BGF.”

276 is the common prison code for the Black Guerrilla Family

In 2009, the BFG in Baltimore were investigated for:

…feasting on salmon and shrimp, sipping Grey Goose vodka and puffing fine cigars – all while directing drug deals, extorting protection money from other inmates and arranging attacks on witnesses and rival gang members.
