TV Anchor Fired First Day on Job for Swearing on Air [VIDEO]

KFYR News anchor A.J. Clemente may have had the shortest career in TV history after swearing during his first live broadcast, reports the Daily Mail.

Clemente unknowingly opened on air live with the words “f****** s***,” leaving his co-anchor, Van Tieu, stumbling to move the broadcast forward. The new anchor for the North Dakota station, who was visibly rattled following his gaffe, went on to talk about his history before reading about a fatal car crash that happened earlier in the day. The scene is quite embarrassing to watch.

Following his unfortunate mistake, KFYR decided to let Clemente go, while Monica Hannan, the news director for the NBC station, apologized for the slip up on the station’s Facebook page.

“All we can do at this point is ask for your forgiveness, and I can offer my personal assurance that I will do my best to ensure that nothing like this ever happens again under my watch,” Hannan wrote.

The upset Clemente took to Twitter, expressing his embarrassment, but is taking the incident in strides and says he will learn from the mistake.
