This morning, various news outlets reported that an arrest warrant was drawn up on NFL star Aaron Hernandez on obstruction of justice charges based on possible destruction of evidence in connection with the shooting death of his friend Odin Lloyd.
According to the DailyMail, the arrest warrant was issued this morning after Hernandez was spotted on surveillance video walking into his home just minutes after neighbors heard gunshots nearby.
Meanwhile, the Boston Globe has refuted these claims, stating that law enforcement did not have an arrest warrent on Aaron or anyone else involved in the death of Odin Lloyd. So what’s going on?

Hernandez, a New England Patriot, has been linked to the death of his girlfriend’s sister’s boyfriend, Odin Lloyd, who was shot “execution style” in an industrial park less than a mile from Henandez’s home in North Attleboro, Massachusetts.
ABC News has reported that people with knowledge of the investigation have said Hernandez destroyed his cell phone and surveillance videos from the cameras at his home, and that his mansion was cleaned hours after police believe Odin was killed.
