The dreaded news has been confirmed that the body of missing 12-year-old Adriaunna Horton has been found, her father confirmed to KSPR News.

1. Police Had Already Arrested Someone With Kidnapping Norton

Bobby Bourne Jr has been charged with kidnapping and is being held on a $1 million bond in relation to the case. Horton was last seen getting into Bourne’s car on Monday August 19 near a park in Golden City, Missouri.
2. He Had Connections to the Horton Family
Bourne was previously employed by Horton’s father, James Horton.
3. The Family Told the Media that they Believed She Would Be Found Alive
James Horton Sr., Horton’s grandfather told the media on August 20 that the family believed she would be found safe. Her grandmother, Velma, told KSPR:
Looking everywhere. Every creek every pond. The more people we have the maybe sooner we can find her, I’m numb. We’re scared.
4. Norton Was Playing With Friends When She Was Last Seen
Norton was playing with friends in the park, her eight-year-old sister, was there too. She told police that Bourne approached the girls three times while they were playing. Horton had just started the sixth grade and went with friends to Hazel Park, a public park in their neighborhood.
5. 15 Different Agencies Were Involved in the Search
A massive search operation involved 300 members of law-enforcement across 15 different agencies. KSPR reports:
Fifteen law enforcement agencies swarmed into the small town to help search for the girl. They’re using ATVs, boats and a helicopter along with search dogs.
