Chicago police have issued an arrest warrant for rapper Chief Keef because he hasn’t paid more than $20,000 in child support. The 17-year-old blew off his last child support hearing and the judge seems to have had enough.
According to TMZ, Keef was ordered to appear in court on September 5. Police have the right to hold him until he pays about one-fifth of the total owed.
Chief Keef has made headlines in the past as being a posterboy example for the violent youth culture permeating through Chicago. His music has inspired multiple murders. Keef himself is also implicated in the unsolved murder of deceased Chicago rapper, Jojo.
