A biker gang clashes with a terrified family in this riveting road-rage video captured Sunday on New York City’s West Side Highway.
At the 27-second mark you can see a Range Rover bump into a biker’s rear tire after the rider appears to slow down in front of the SUV. A mob of fellow bikers — reportedly of the Hollywood Stuntz gang — surrounds the SUV, which was driven by a man “fearing for the safety of his wife and young child” the Daily Mail reports.
The New York Post reports the driver is Alexian Lien, whose wife and 2-year-old daughter were in the car.
At the 50-second mark all hell breaks loose as the SUV emerges from the pack — running over bikes and bikers in the process.
The gang gives chase, and at a stoplight (5-minute mark) there is again a tense confrontation and again the SUV strikes a biker.
The pursuit continues and eventually ends when the Range Rover’s slashed tires go flat — followed by a brutal assault as bikers smash the SUV’s windows, drag out the driver, and reportedly slash his face and chest.
A post on LiveLeak that originally shared the video claimed one person was killed in the incident, but that was not corroborated.
However, one arrest has been made, the Post reports:
Christopher Cruz, 28, of Passaic, New Jersey, was charged with reckless endangerment, reckless driving, endangering the welfare of a child and menacing in the first of two harrowing confrontations Alexian Lien had with a pack of bikers when he and his family were out for a Sunday drive.
