Two men were arrested in Virginia Thursday evening after a pre-Black Friday shopping trip turned violent. At around 6:30 p.m., Christopher Jackson, 35, and 61-year-old Ronnie Sharp were in the parking low of the Claypool Hill Walmart in Tazewell County when the two got into a heated dispute over a park spot.
The argument escalated quickly with Sharp threatening Jackson with a rifle and then slashing his arm with a knife. Local news station WVVA reported that the wound was so deep that it cut right to the bone.
Both men were arrested for the incident, and the local sheriff’s department recovered the rifle. Sharp is charged with malicious wounding and the brandishing of a firearm. Jackson’s wounds were treated before he was also charged with disorderly conduct and assault and battery.
Both men are held on $5,000 bond.
