The New York Times is reporting that the U.S. Attorney in New Jersey, Paul Fishman, is opening an investigation into the Christie lane closure scandal.
Paul Fishman was appointed by Barrack Obama in 2009, succeeding Chris Christie, who had resigned the position in 2008 to pursue his first gubernatorial run.
As US Attorney, Christie racked up a record number of convictions in public corruption cases, building a political persona as a crusader for government accountability.
