Terminal C at LaGuardia Airport was partially evacuated after a bag was seen with smoke coming out of it, reports CBS New York.
Here’s what you need to know:
1. The Bag Was in Terminal C
The bag was found near Gate 31 in Terminal C, reports My Fox New York.
2. The Flight Was Going to Richmond, Virginia
The flight at Gate 31 is reported to have been an Atlantic Southeast plane, was being run by Delta, according to NBC New York. The plane that the back was meant for was en route to Richmond, Virginia. The plane will proceed to its destination.
3. The Bag-in-Question Never Made it onto the Plane
The situation is being investigated by Port Authority police. A passenger is being interviewed by police but nothing “nefarious” is suspected, reports NBC New York. Law enforcement are eager to remind travelers that the package never made it on to the plane and that it has been removed to a safe location.
4. Nobody is Reported to be Hurt

We have no reports of any injuries yet. The terminal was only partially evacuated. Workers of the airport will be allowed back into the building at around 12:30 p.m., reports ABC New York, with passengers to follow shortly afterward.
