Cameras in northern Vietnam caught the collapse of a suspension bridge as almost 50 mourners were carrying a coffin across it. In the video above, you can watch from two different angles as the cables give out on one side of the bridge, sending the mourners plummeting into the ravine below.
According to the AP, the group fell around 65 feet, killing at least 7 and injuring 37. A local police officer, Phung Qang Tuyen, said that at least 23 of those injuries were considered serious.
A recent report by the Australian government found that the Vietnamese transportation infrastructure is in serious need of renovation and revitalization.
