So there it is. The Westboro Baptist Church have taken aim at New Zealand music princess Lorde. The group are to picket her concert in Kansas City, Missouri on March 21. Their beef with her stems from Lorde apparently not teaching young women to be “Sober & Godly.” No, me neither. They also accuse that she has been let down by the adults in her life in not preaching the word of God or whatever.
They’ve also taken to Vine to diss the Grammy-winning Kiwi.
The singer responded to the picketing promise in a series of now-deleted tweets:
The church have extended their social media presence since we last reported on them and are now using social media to produce not funny or relevant or interesting parodies via their Soundcloud:
The “church,” which has made its name in protesting the funerals of victims of tragedies — somehow relating the deaths to acceptance of homosexuality in society — has proven time and again that no tragedy is safe from the group’s vile opinions.
