Actor Dave Legeno, most famous for playing Fenrir Greyback in the Harry Potter movies has died, reports TMZ.
Here’s what we know so far:
1. He May Have Been Dead for Days Before He Was Found
The 50-year-old actor was hiking in Death Valley when he was found dead on July 6. The area was so remote according to TMZ, a helicopter had to be called in to retrieve the body. Reports suggest that he may have been dead for three or four days before the body was found. The death may have been caused by heart-related issues. The temperature in Death Valley on July 6 was 177 degrees.
2. Legeno Had Acted Alongside Brad Pitt

He had a varied career, in addition to the Potter movies, Legeno also starred in the Brad Pitt movie Snatch and in Batman Begins
3. He Was a Martial Arts Expert
Legeno was an active outdoorsman who was an expert in the martial art of Muay-Thai. Legeno also competed in MMA. During his career, he managed 7 fights with 4 wins and 3 losses. Aside from being a tough guy, Legeno was a poetry enthusiast.
4. Legeno Was a Londoner
He was native of London. According to Legeno, he got the acting bug when he first read Shakespeare’s Richard III in high school.
5. He Survived by his Daughter
At the time of his death, Legeno was living in the south of England with his daughter, Wendy.
