President Obama today announced that at least one American was on Malaysia Airlines Flight 17: Quinn Lucas Schansman, reportedly a dual citizen of the U.S. and The Netherlands.
Prior to the announcement, which came at a press conference, USA Today compiled this tally of the nationalities of the 298 passengers and crew killed when the airliner was shot down over Eastern Ukraine:

Early reports in the wake of the crash said 23 Americans were onboard.
Obama cautioned the public to be wary of misinformation surrounding the tragedy and promised the truth would come out.
