In a video leaked by TMZ, singer superstar Ariana Grande appears to be shown at a Wolfee Donuts in Lake Elsinore, California, licking creamy treats and making out with her dancer, Ricky Alvarez. When a worker brings over a tray of baked goodness, she says “What the f**k is that?” It sounds like Grande then says “I hate America…I hate Americans.” Watch the video and decide for yourself. Soon after the video went viral, she announced that she wouldn’t be singing at the MLB All-Star game, blaming oral surgery. Grande also said that she loves America but apologized for the fat shaming that went on in the video.
On July 4, 2014, Grande performed at Macy’s fireworks show wearing some rather patriotic clothing. Just a few months later, Grande sang at the Seattle Seahawks season opener with the Packers. In their review of her performance, MTV.com says Grande “could inspire patriotism in even the most cold, competitive heart.”
